About

A small, careful magazine for the kitchen-curious.

The Curated Counter exists for a simple reason: most "best of" lists on the internet are written by people who've never opened the products they're recommending. We wanted somewhere better to send our friends when they asked "what should I actually buy?"

What we do

We publish small, careful roundups of home and kitchen essentials we'd actually buy ourselves. Drawer organizers that hold up to real use. Pantry containers that don't crack after a year. Lazy Susans with non-slip surfaces that aren't just marketing. We test where we can, read every review we link to, and write each entry the way we'd describe a product to a friend over coffee — not the way an algorithm wants us to.

New roundups land on a biweekly schedule. Older ones get updated when prices shift or better alternatives emerge. If something we recommended stops being worth recommending, we say so.

Who's behind it

The Curated Counter is edited by Chris, the same editor behind Army Gymnastics — a performance-driven wellness brand focused on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and the everyday essentials that make a real difference. The Curated Counter is the home and kitchen counterpart: a smaller, more focused publication that lives at the intersection of taste, function, and honest recommendations.

Both brands operate under the same principle: only recommend things we'd actually use ourselves.

How we make money

The Curated Counter participates in the Amazon Associates and Amazon Influencer programs. When you click a "Shop on Amazon" link on this site and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. That commission funds the time we spend researching, writing, and updating the site.

Our recommendations are never influenced by commission rates. We don't take payment from brands to feature their products, and a product appears on a roundup only if we'd genuinely tell a friend to buy it. Read the full breakdown on our disclosure page.
